The low-current low-pressure glow discharge in the electronegative gases

Abstract

The physical mechanisms of the existence of two stages of glow discharge in the electronegative gases have been analysed. The electron attachment is shown to be the main mechanism of electron decay at the low-current stage, whereas the diffusion-aided removing — to be that at the high-current stage.
